Lab. of Molecular Neuro Psychiatry
neuropsychiatry utilizes modern biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, pharmacology, genetic and behavioral biology approaches to pursue an in-depth understanding of the molecular mechanisms of mental illness outbreaks. In particular, our laboratory established techniques for image analysis using confocal microscopy, intracellular calcium signal analysis, live cell imaging and have many genetically modified animal models for various experiments in cellular- and animal level.
Through these studies, we will expand our understanding of brain functions, including learning, memory, emotion, mood, compensation, and motivation, and further discover new molecular targets for the treatment of major mental disorders.
In addition to these research, we attend domestic and international conferences regularly to exchange our research results for developing research capabilities and broadening the academic base.
